Finally had my teeth cleaned up today. My last visit to a dentist is more than 2 years ago. Can you believe that? Thank God that my all my teeth are still in good shape.

My new dentist suggested me to have a routine cleaning every 6 months. I thought we are suppose to get a routine check up every 12 months.

As usual, the dentist tell you to floss everyday, which I didn’t follow before. I’ve got to build up the habit. I also found out that the way I used the floss was incorrect. You have to push the floss to your gums lightly, like massaging your gums.

With my lack of knowledge in cleaning my teeth, I still had no idea why my teeth are still in good shape. I must be blessed.

I even got a Christmas card and a Christmas gift from Rogers last month. It is only a free CD from their music store OR 6-months magazine subscription.

Is it possible to locate a man given only his photograph and first name?

A UK-based game company is testing the theory of six degrees of separation. They have given us a photograph of a man, a name, and the Japanese characters that translate to “Find me”.

We are each only five to seven people away from any target in the world. Someone, somewhere, knows Satoshi. Help spread the word and track down this person!

I think it is possible with the internet and the by the word of mouth. Given that the true identity of lonelygirl15 had been identified by the internet. Finding this man is highly probable, it’s just a matter of time. One thing that I may doubt is the theory of six degrees of separation. If this man is found, can I really relate to this man within six degrees?
You can help find this man by going to this website.

I just don’t get it. Why would people wait in line overnight for the release of PS3? Some even hire people $100/per day to line up for them. I just don’t get it. May be because I am not a hardcore gamer nor an opportunist. Some opportunists may use this chance to earn some extra cash by selling the lineup spot or resell the console at higher price. However, I think it is just not smart to lineup if you just want to own one yourself. It is okay for people lineup for tickets to live concerts, playoff games, or may be buying a condo unit. Those are mostly one-time events and good seats/unit will be based on first come first serve. Why do you lineup to buy PS3? it’s not an one-time event at all. Surely, it will be sold out in the first day, but they will get restock, and much more console will be coming. I am sure you can get the same PS3 easily without line up after 1-2 months. The first shipment is not necessary better, history had shown us that the first shipment usually contain bugs and glitches. I just don’t think it is worth wasting your time lineup for something that you can get easily after a few months. May be that’s the price to be the FIRST to own the console, be the FIRST to play. The truth is, PS3 released in Japan FIRST, and then release to the rest of the world. And why it always has to be chaotic?

Chaos as crowds try to buy PS3

About 2 months ago, I sold my VW Golf. Why did you sell it? You may ask. Since I moved to downtown last year, everything seems so convenient without a car. If I need to buy groceries, I could get fresh fruits and vegetables with unbeatable price in the nearby Chinatown. If I need to eat out, there are tons of restaurants around the neighborhood within walking distances. I have a TTC Metropass every month and took the TTC to work. I found out that I don’t drive as much as before. The only time that I would drive was traveling to Hamilton to visit Clau during the weekends. Now that Clau bought herself a car, I thought that it is no longer necessary for me to keep the Golf. Besides, the Golf was close to 6 years old, and maintenance cost of the Germany car would only get higher with further wears and tears. If I am not driving it and keep putting money in it. Why keep it? Therefore, I decided to sell it.

How can I live without a car in Canada? Well, I am fortunate that I live in Toronto downtown, where it is full of urban lifestyle. Therefore, car is not necessary for most people living in downtown. Subway, streetcars, bike, and on foot are the mean of transportation in Toronto downtown. I don’t have a bike, I fully utilize the convenient of TTC and my two legs.

Now, back to the Golf. This post is dedicated to my previously own car. The VW Golf was my first car after I earned my driver license. I got this car second-handed from one of my friend. It served me well for more than 4 years. Although I am not really into cars, I could tell that it was a fine engineered car. It has a the pick up speed to go on to the freeway, taking over other cars. It also run smoothly and steady on high speed. You can also tell that the VW engineers had thought about every little details in designing the Golf. Every little gadgets inside the Golf just gave you a really good user experience. The only downfall with this car is the reliability of the car. It is also well-known to many people that it is not as reliable as other cars. I considered myself lucky that it didn’t give me a lot of trouble during the 4 years with me. It bring me from point A to point B 99% of the time. I guess most of the trouble were fixed with the previous owner, friend of mine. However, since it is still an European car, the cost of the maintenance still far beyond comparing to the low maintenance Japanese cars.

You know they have a new Golf model now (They use back the old name Rabbit in N.America), after using the same model for more than 5 year. If I do need a car again for whatever reason, will I be driving a Golf again? Probably not. As much as I still like VW Golf, I would probably go for a Japanese car model. More cost efficient, better gas mileage, lower maintenance cost and well-known for reliable. Any good car will be fine. The bottom-line is to bring me from Point A to B.
